Out of a survey of 800 people 69% worry about being killed on the road as a result of the carelessness of other driver whilst only 1% thought they were worse-than-average drivers. 98% believing they are safer than, or as safe as, the average driver.
Also, 35% consider there are more dangerous drivers than safe ones, while 31% feel safer driving a car than travelling by any other form of transport.
Andy Goldby, from Direct Line, said “The vast majority of drivers seem to worry about how other people are driving, instead of evaluating their own driving skills.”
