Driving Without A Licence

The recommended maximum sentence, on conviction, and the charge of driving without a licence (driving on a road a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence to drive a vehicle of that class) is as follows: -

Section 87(1) Road Traffic Act 1988

6 penalty points and £1000 fine

This offence does not require a great deal of discussion in isolation. It does however often appear on a summons or charge sheet alongside other offences, such as no insurance. If so, you may be facing a totting up disqualification.
